A.D. Coote & Co. (sheetmetal) Pty Ltd was incorporated in June 1968 to make sheet metal building products. They now specialise in the manufacture and supply of sheet metal products including light poles, roofing products and general metal fabricated products. A.D. Coote & Co. operates from a fully equipped workshop factory at its head office complex in Welshpool, providing up to date equipment for management, production and quality control activities while employing a large production workforce which is supported by administration, technical and supervisory personnel.
Charles de Vos (A.D. Coote & Co General Manager) contacted Solargain through a word of mouth referral in August 2013. Solargain provided A.D. Coote with a comprehensive proposal for a 100kW solar system, and worked closely with them while they were negotiating a new tariff with the energy supplier. The system was installed with no interruption to the business’s production, with Solargain’s installation team doing the switchboard connections and testing after hours and over the weekend. The system was successfully turned on in April 2014. Solargain has revisited the site after a communications upgrade was undertaken by A.D.Coote and now with both A.D. Coote & Co and Solargain having access to the Fronius full monitoring of the system.
The 100kW system installed has proven to be cutting the bills substantially for A.D.Coote in line with Solargain’s original calculations, with savings of around 60% on the previous year’s bills.
