Toodyay IGA

Toodyay IGA was the first IGA in WA to commit to installing a system of this size (100kW). The store owner Dean Carter also owns the building in which it is situated. Dean was encouraged to install solar by a friend who owns another IGA and was happy with the performance of his system.

The system comprises 400 x ReneSola 250W panels, 6 x SMA 15000TL inverters and 1 x SMA 10000TL inverter. The panels are installed with a portion flush mounted on the North roof and the remainder reverse tilt mounted on the South orientated roof. The design took into consideration and worked around the shading impact from the existing plant on the roof and the parapet wall that surrounds the building.

The system has been sized appropriately for their daytime consumption and covers about 25% of their total usage. It is also at the threshold of eligibility for the STC upfront incentive which is capped at 100kW.
