United Crate was formed in 1963 by a number of growers who saw the need to provide a packaging service conducive to their marketing requirements. The idea was to provide uniform packaging, so that produce could be sold by a common unit rather than weighing everything. Today the company has over 40,000 crates in circulation across the fruit and vegetable growing industry.

Several years ago Paul Buckingham, IGA X-press Bibra Lake business owner, purchased a 4kW system from Solargain for his home. After being satisfied with both the system's performance and Solargain’s previous dealings with him, Mr. Buckingham approached us to assist him with a commercial system to reduce his electricity costs at his retail outlet which is a combined IGA X-press and Down Under Liquor store.

St Bartholomew’s installation was completed without issue and on time and opened by the premier, Colin Barnett on 24 August 2012.
