South Boulder Waste Water Treatment Plant

In late 2013, The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder went to tender for their second large solar power system (greater than 30kVA).Coming off the back of a successfully completed system at the Goldfields Oasis Leisure Centre (137.5kW) Solargain put together another strong submission and was chosen from a field of 12 respondents.

Solargain were chosen out of the 35 companies who submitted tender applications. The 24kW system is Solargain’s longest installed commercial system and to date there have been no system faults.

Innaloo Sportsmen’s Club were aware of the benefits of commercial solar PV for a number of years prior to making the decision to invest in a 30kW system. A significant reduction in the cost of solar PV panels, coupled with increasing electricity costs, saw the systems at their most viable stage and that helped club secretary Murray Ryan to make the decision to invest.
